“It’s hard to believe it took this long for a movie about a wimp to hit theaters.
I mean, they have to do all the work.
They’re in this house and they have this housekeeper, and they’ve got this child, and it’s all so, so, perfect.
It’s like, ‘Oh, it’s not perfect, but it’s perfect.'”
The movie follows Wimpy Kicks as he goes through his day, but he also meets the new neighbor, a beautiful girl named Emily.
“She has a really good sense of humor,” explains Mitchell.
“I think that’s a great thing for a film.
When you’re trying to make a movie, you want to be able to have your audience laugh and you want them to be impressed.”
The two characters get along quite well and get along well with each other, and Mitchell has a few fond memories of working with the director on the movie.
“We actually filmed a scene where he’s doing some makeup and then we were filming him putting his face back together.
We had this whole sequence where he was just making it up as he went along and I remember being so relieved,” he says.
“And then the makeup lady said, ‘Well, you’re so excited.
You can’t wait to get back to it.’
I was like, I can’t believe you’re doing that.’
And I’m so glad that I got to.
We just got to get it done.”
Mitchell says that he loves the idea of having the two characters interact with each others.
“That’s what we’ve been doing all these years, and that’s how we always ended up together,” he explains.
“So it’s just a really fun way for me to bring it all together.”
It’s hard not to be a little sad at the fact that it took so long for the film to come to fruition, but Mitchell says he’s excited to see it come to life in the hands of a movie-going audience.
“It feels like it was an absolute dream come true to me,” he admits.
Mitchell will be releasing a special edition of the book that will include a full-color art book, a special book of interviews, and more. “
This is going to go on for a long time and I just want to see them see it.”
