A wind farm in the Republic of Ireland is being constructed in an area of the country that has long been affected by the country’s notorious drought.
The Daithi wind farm, which is expected to be operational in 2021, will be located in the Cavan area.
Wind farms are also being built in the country to meet demand from the wind farms that are already operating there.
The wind farm is one of several planned by the Daithíi Wind Power Co. which is run by a local family owned business.
The company, which has already invested about €300,000 in its development, has also set up a mobile office and has begun to sell electricity to nearby villages.
A small, village-based wind farm on the Dathis farm, is set to be located just off the Murchison Road, in Cavan, Ireland.
